Privacy
SnapLobby is built to collect as little as possible and to forget quickly. There are no accounts and no profiles.
What we store
- Lobby contents — the files you upload, kept in private storage only for the life of the lobby (5 minutes to 4 hours), then permanently deleted.
- A device id — a random identifier your browser generates and keeps in local storage. It's how you keep the same name and avatar when you rejoin a lobby. It isn't tied to your identity.
- Your IP address — used only to limit abuse (rate limits, per-network caps, and enforcing removals from a lobby). It is never shown to other people.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no email, nothing tied to your real identity.
- No selling or sharing of your data.
- No advertising trackers.
- Your IP address and device id are never displayed to other users — only your assigned name and avatar are.
Deletion
When a lobby's timer ends — or its creator deletes it — the lobby record and every file in it are permanently removed from storage.
